Sumit is a Founder & General Partner @ Indus, a Director of Shubh Tradex Pvt Ltd and proprietor of Shubh Exim which are both engaged in the Oil and Gas sector in India. Both companies are significant players in India's energy sector.
He has been instrumental in successfully executing large value farm-ins for Norwest Energy NL (Perth – Australia based oil and Gas Exploration company) and Encore Energy NL (London – UK based oil and gas exploration company). He has strategized & enabled Norwest Energy's entry into India and has provided complete knowledge of bidding under the Govt. Of India's New Exploration Licensing Policy (NELP).
With more than 20 years experience in the oil and gas sector he has in-depth knowledge of Exploration and Production industry in Australia, Canada, UK and India.
He has a Bachelor's in Commerce from University of Delhi and also holds an MBA from the Monash Mt. Eliza Business School in Melbourne, Australia.
