Peter Munachen

Peter Munachen is a former CEO with more than 45 years of experience in development and management of Australian-listed public companies, specialising in the acquisition and financing of Australasian and international resource projects (gold, base metals, diamonds and hydrocarbons).

As CEO of Norwest Energy NL, Peter was instrumental in successfully negotiating a joint venture between the Government of India company, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd, and Norwest Energy for the exploration of shale gas in the Perth Basin, Western Australia.

His previous directorships have included East Africa Resources Ltd, Newland Exploration Ltd, Dragon Mining Ltd (Sweden & Finland), Sub-Sahara Resources NL (Tanzania), Currie Rose Resources Inc (Canada), Pancontinental Oil and Gas NL (Australia, Malta & Kenya) and Victoria Petroleum NL (Australia).

Prior to concentrating on resource-focussed projects from 1987, Peter was a practising professional accountant advising a range of clientele covering traditional small to medium businesses, as well as entrepreneurs with innovative projects. Based out of Perth, Australia, he stepped aside in 2016 from full time executive roles, and now provides corporate consulting services to several resource and entrepreneurial start-up projects.
